Tour Description
One of the most popular places for spring backcountry near Almaty.
Tourist peak is located in the Greater Almaty Gorge. The peak height is 3954 meters. From the summit there are views of the Turan, Sovietov, Karnizniy peaks.
Asphalt road allows you to make ascent and descent in one day. Special climbing equipment is not required.
Season:

Skis with ski-touring bindings or splitboard
Ski/snowboard boots(for skiers with system of switching to walking mode)

Tour Program
Day 1
Start in the early morning from the Almaty to the Cosmostation. Ski touring 4 hours to the Tourist peak, descent back. Transfer back to the city.
